The website of the Irish Childhood Bereavement Network, www.childhoodbereavement.ie, was officially launched on December 9th with the help of professionals working with bereaved children along the West coast from Mayo to Cork. The website has valuable information for professionals and families working with grieving children and young people. Chair of the ICBN Advisory Panel, Brid Carroll, commented:

The ICBN is delighted with the opportunity to present to the Joint Committee on Health and Children this Thursday, November 7th. Our report, which will be presented by Chair of the network Brid Carroll, will inform the committee on the uniqueness of children’s grief and outline the importance, value and necessity good and timely support

The newly established Irish Childhood Bereavement Network (ICBN) has appointed a Chair to its Advisory Panel.  Brid Carroll, who is a Bereavement Counsellor, will guide the network in its initial stages and provide support to build and strengthen the availability of services for bereaved children in Ireland.
