Naas Hospital, Social Worker Lisa White Developed a poster to support staff:
‘We developed our Think Adult Think Child poster in Naas General Hospital to raise awareness about the needs of grieving children. The poster will be displayed in all wards and departments in the hospital. The aim of the poster is to support staff in understanding more about how children grieve and how to support bereaved families in our hospital. We want bereaved families to be treated compassionately by ensuring supportive evidence-based information is provided to the family following a bereavement. The poster is for all staff and the public.
The poster will be the first resource of a suite of information/supports that will be developed for staff/and families.’
