Bereaved Children’s Awareness Week 2024

Children grieve too. So, what can you do?

Why This Campaign?

Most children can manage and learn to live with their grief with the appropriate support from their family and key adults in their lives.  However, this is based on the premise that the adults surrounding the child have accurate and up-to-date information on the impact of childhood bereavement. This campaign aims to get information about childhood bereavement out to the families, communities and services that need it. You can help us to achieve this.

What You Can Do?

You can get involved by by hosting a stand or display in your workplace, adding a poster to your local notice board, having a viewing of one of the webinars with your colleagues, getting involved in the social media campaign, or perhaps sharing our website with a family who need it.

If you are doing something for the campaign, please let us know. We would be happy to support in anyway we can.  If you are hosting a public event we would love to include it on our website, just let us know the details or if you would like any material posted to you.

We know that all adults can help by understanding and seeing the needs of bereaved children. Please take one minute to watch the video below and learn how you can help to build a compassionate community where bereaved children are supported to express grief.
